WWE Superstar Kevin Owens has expressed his views on Randy Orton’s leadership within the current locker room. Owens and Orton recently teamed up against The Bloodline, and Owens has recounted his experience of The Viper’s impact in the locker room.
During a recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, Kevin Owens discussed his views on the reception Randy Orton received at WWE Backlash. He also elaborated on Orton’s influence as a locker room leader.
He stated, “The most amazing part for me was actually seeing the love and respect they showed Randy because not to dwell on it, but Randy is somebody I’ve looked up to for so long, before I even got to WWE as an aspiring wrestler and then once I got here, someone who, in my opinion, is exactly what a veteran should be and what we all aspire to be as far as an example in the locker room.”
Owens explains that despite not being flawless in Orton’s youth, Randy Orton openly acknowledges his imperfections and takes responsibility for his mistakes. He embodies leadership naturally without actively seeking the role or declaring himself a leader; it’s inherent in his character.
Randy Orton is set to face a rising star on WWE SmackDown
Kevin Owens, who has praised WWE Superstar Randy Orton, will face rising star Carmelo Hayes on the upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown. This week marks the continuation of the King of the Ring tournament, which began last week. Orton, who wrestled AJ Styles in the first round, secured a victory.
On the other hand, Carmelo Hayes faced Baron Corbin and managed to defeat the former King of the Ring winner, advancing to the second round. While Orton warned Tama Tonga last week on SmackDown, it will be interesting to see if The Bloodline interferes in the match to hinder Orton’s opportunity in the King of the Ring tournament.
