Recently, an update on Seth Rollins’ injury status ahead of WrestleMania 40 has been revealed at the WWE Raw.
On March 4, WWE RAW was kicked off by Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, where they both addressed The Rock’s challenge laid down on SmackDown. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins directed their attention towards The People’s Champion and made a significant announcement.
Furthermore, Rollins also declared that he had received medical clearance to compete. Rollins had been sidelined since January after sustaining a torn MCL and partially tearing his meniscus during a match against Jinder Mahal. Consequently, he withdrew from a match at Elimination Chamber.
During RAW, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes announced their plans to confront The Bloodline on SmackDown this Friday. This came as a response to The Rock’s challenge issued last Friday. The People’s Champion challenged them to a tag team match against Roman Reigns and himself.
The Rock also revealed that if Rollins and Rhodes emerged victorious on night one at WrestleMania 40, the main event of night two, featuring Rhodes and Reigns, would be free from the Bloodline’s influence. However, if The Rock and Reigns secured a win, the Undisputed WWE Championship match on night two would be a Bloodline Rules match.
As Rollins is medically cleared to compete, he can focus on his upcoming match against world title contender Drew McIntyre. McIntyre won the number one contender match at Men’s Elimination Chamber to earn a match against Rollins at WrestleMania 40. However, Rollins is also involved in another storyline with The Bloodline and The Rock.
Seth Rollins prepares for double duty at WWE WrestleMania 40
Seth Rollins, now medically cleared to compete in the ring, is set to pull double duty at WrestleMania 40. On WrestleMania 40 night one, Rollins will team up with Cody Rhodes to challenge The Rock and Roman Reigns. On night two, Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre.
It will be interesting to see if The Bloodline also gets involved in his match against McIntyre and costs Rollins his title at WrestleMania 40.
