What Did Becky Lynch Say About Vince McMahon Allegations?

WWE Superstar Becky Lynch has offered her perspective on the ongoing controversy surrounding former WWE chairman Vince McMahon. Last month, a shocking lawsuit was filed by a former WWE employee, Ms. Janel Grant, alleging sexual harassment and trafficking involving McMahon.

The lawsuit implicated an unnamed “WWE Superstar” and a “former UFC Heavyweight Champion,” supposedly in talks with WWE. Moreover, it alleged McMahon shared Grant’s contact details with this individual, leading to inappropriate requests, with speculation centering on Brock Lesnar.

In response to the lawsuit, WWE halted any plans involving Lesnar, and Vince McMahon stepped down from his role as executive chairman of the board of directors at WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings.

Furthermore, in the aftermath of the lawsuit, various WWE Superstars, including Triple H, Cody Rhodes, John Cena, and Randy Orton, have faced questions about the controversy. Becky Lynch, a top female WWE Superstar, has now joined the conversation, offering her thoughts on the issue.

Becky Lynch on Vince McMahon allegations: ‘These allegations are horrible’

WWE recently hosted its premium live event, Elimination Chamber, in Perth, Australia, over the past weekend. Leading up to the event, superstars were actively promoting it across various platforms.

During a conversation with Alex McCarthy of Inside The Ropes, Becky Lynch addressed the allegations against Vince McMahon. Lynch acknowledged the severity of the allegations, finding them difficult to come to terms with. She expressed gratitude for the support she has received throughout her career from WWE, despite the challenging circumstances.

Lynch stated, “I’ve been fortunate in my career that I’ve always felt supported by the company. These allegations are horrible. It’s hard to reconcile, as a talent and as a woman, but my experience in WWE has only ever been amazing.”

She added, “Yes, in the beginning, there were some restrictions put on things. We couldn’t punch, we had to hair pull, there were weird things there. Being able to push us forward, push women forward, I’m very grateful for that and the opportunity to even have my family. This company…some of these things are hard to reconcile.”

At Elimination Chamber, Lynch emerged victorious in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match. This victory officially paves the way for her highly anticipated showdown with Rhea Ripley. Both will face each other in the singles bout for the Women’s World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
