Vince McMahon Netflix Documentary Release Date Update

Speculation surrounds the release date of the Vince McMahon Netflix documentary, as recent events have thrown its fate into uncertainty. Initially announced back in 2020, the documentary aimed to delve into the life of the former WWE head, promising an in-depth exploration of McMahon’s controversial tenure. However, with the emergence of sexual assault allegations against McMahon, the documentary’s release plans have been cast into doubt.

In an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed light on the project’s current status and content. Meltzer speculated that there has been a noticeable silence regarding the documentary’s release date. He stated, “I haven’t heard anything about [the release of] the doc. This changes the whole doc 100%. … They were done. It was going to be out very, very soon. I don’t know how it can possibly be out very, very soon now.”

If the documentary does come to fruition, Meltzer believes it must address the stories of individuals like Janel Grant and Ashley Massaro. McMahon had purportedly expressed a desire for an honest portrayal in the documentary.

In 2022, Netflix initially stopped production on the documentary due to various allegations against McMahon. However, as these allegations lacked specificity, Netflix later resumed production. The recent controversy surrounding Vince McMahon has sparked considerable speculation about the documentary’s fate. As of now, Netflix has not confirmed the future of the project.
