16-time WWE world champion John Cena has shared his insights on the involvement of United States Champion Logan Paul in the promotion. Paul made his in-ring debut at WWE WrestleMania 38, securing a tag team victory with The Miz against Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Additionally, he engaged in singles matches with The Miz, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
During a recent appearance on the latest episode of Impaulsive, John Cena addressed Paul’s entry into WWE and his thoughts on the social media sensation. Cena stated, “I’ll give you two answers. Me 10 years ago would have been very sceptical, but the business has changed, and because the business has changed and we have better distribution, the perception of what we can offer has changed, and now people come to us seeing opportunity, not just ‘what can I take from this place?”
He continued by saying, “Right away, with what [Logan’s] willing to sacrifice in terms of your health and wellbeing with the moves that you do, I can tell that you give a s**t, and that means a lot. You’re not here to just do the thing once. You went from special guest to full-time superstar in like five minutes. That’s very refreshing. I think that speaks volumes to you understanding what WWE can offer, and how WWE has changed.”
Meanwhile, Paul is gearing up to defend his United States Championship against Kevin Owens at WWE Royal Rumble, scheduled for Saturday, January 27.
