As anticipation for WrestleMania 40 reaches unprecedented heights, WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar receives an epic challenge for a match. Lesnar’s recent appearance at SummerSlam saw him facing off against Cody Rhodes and ultimately losing to the American Nightmare. After the match, The Beast Incarnate displayed sportsmanship by shaking hands with Rhodes. It was then reported that Brock Lesnar wouldn’t be appearing on WWE programming until next year.
As 2024 approaches, the possibility of Brock Lesnar returning to WWE programming looms large. Lesnar already received an epic challenge for WrestleMania 40. The one issuing the challenge is the current Intercontinental Champion, Gunther.
Speaking on the Busted Open Radio to discuss potential opponents for the grand event, Gunther expressed his desire to face off against Brock Lesnar. “I don’t know if WrestleMania 40 is the time for that but we’ll see but I feel like in the long run the one name I always bring up is Brock because I feel like I’m the end boss to a lot of people. But I feel like Brock is somebody perfected being an end boss and I got to prove myself with him in the ring too,” he said.
Thus, it will be interesting to see if WWE decides to make his dream come true at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.

However, Lesnar also emphasized that he doesn’t hold the decision-making power within WWE. He said, “I do, I don’t really care… it was just proposed, and I don’t know if I don’t make the calls around here. It’s just one of those things. At WrestleMania 39, Lesnar faced Omos in a singles match. Meanwhile, Gunther defended his Intercontinental Championship in a triple threat match against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.
