The long-standing rivalry between WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio and the outspoken CM Punk has reached new heights. Promoting the upcoming showdown at the KIA Forum, CM Punk didn’t hold back. He took a verbal jab at Dominik Mysterio during a Cage Fury FC event in Los Angeles, stating his longstanding desire to confront him dating back to when Dominik Mysterio was eight years old.
CM Punk, during his commentary at the Cage Fury FC event, stated, “Come out to the KIA Forum; watch me beat up Dirty Dominik. I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face since he was eight years old. Now he’s legal and I’m going to destroy him.”
In response, Dominik Mysterio fired back on Twitter by sharing a video of CM Punk slipping off the top rope during an AEW match. Ironically, the clip is from Punk’s last match at the KIA Forum, where he suffered a broken foot after a daring stage dive into the crowd.

The animosity between CM Punk and Dominik traces back to a 2010 storyline involving Punk and Rey Mysterio leading to a hair vs. mask match, with the entire Mysterio family, including Dominik and Aalyah, playing integral roles.
Fans will remember the infamous segment between The Mysterio family and CM Punk with Straight Edge Society, where Punk crashed Aalyah’s birthday celebration and sang “Happy Birthday” to her.
CM Punk set to face Dominik Mysterio in his WWE return match
Since CM Punk made his return at Survivor Series: WarGames, he has made three appearances on WWE programming: two on RAW and one on SmackDown. However, all these segments featured no action from the straight-edge star.
However, fans might not have to wait much longer, as CM Punk is set to have his first WWE match in almost a decade against Dominik Mysterio. Punk is scheduled to face him twice, first at the December 26 live event at Madison Square Garden and then at the December 30 event in Inglewood, California.
Punk will return to the WWE ring with his first match at the 2014 Royal Rumble. His most recent wrestling appearance took place in August at Wembley Stadium, where he secured a victory against Samoa Joe.
