Following Supergirl ‘s fourth season premiere last night, The CW has released the first promo for their DC superhero series’ upcoming second episode titled “Fallout,” highlighting the chaos that Mercy Graves (Rhona Mithra) and Agent Liberty (Sam Witver) have planned in order to instill fear on National City’s titular hero. The episode is set to air next week on October 21. Check out the video below!
The episode is directed by Harry Jierjian with Maria Maggenti and Daniel Beaty co-writing the script. Its official synopsis is as follows:
“CHAOS IN NATIONAL CITY – A shocking revelation causes chaos in National City. Supergirl sets out to capture Mercy Graves, while Alex takes control at the DEO. Back at CatCo, Kara decides to write an investigative story on Mercy and asks Lena if she can interview her as Mercy has ties to the Luthors. Meanwhile, Brainy meets Nia and the two end up in a precarious situation. “

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow ‘Winn’ Schott, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Jess Rath as Brainiac 5, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz. New to the cast for the fourth season is Sam Witwer as Agent Liberty, Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves, and Bruce Boxleitner as Vice President Baker.
Based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller. Supergirl is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
