Freeform has revealed a sneak preview at the 2018 New York Comic Con for the upcoming second season of their hit mermaid drama series Siren, while also officially announcing the show’s premiere date. The 16-episode second season is scheduled to be return on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Freeform. Check out the video below!

In the epic tale, the coastal town of Bristol Cove, known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. The first of Siren started when a mysterious girl appears and begins wreaking havoc upon the small fishing town. Using their resources, marine biologists Ben and Maddie must work together to find out who and what drove this primal hunter of the deep sea to land, and are there more like her out there?
Siren stars Eline Powell as Ryn, Alex Roe as Ben Pownall, Fola Evans-Akingbola as Maddie Bishop, Rena Owen as Helen Hawkins and Sibongile Mlambo as Donna.
Building on the foundation of an epic first season, season two of the popular drama promises an appearance of more mermaids in the coastal town of Bristol Cove … but are they seeking revenge or is something more catastrophic driving them out of the sea? Marine researchers Ben (Alex Roe) and Maddie (Fola Evans-Akingbola) continue to establish a bond with mermaid Ryn (Eline Powell), not only to protect her but to try to help save her entire civilization.
Siren is based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive producers. Emily Whitesell (Finding Carter) serves as showrunner and executive producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb also serve as executive producers.
