CBS has debuted a new trailer for their reboot of ’80s action series MacGyver, which stars Lucas Till (X-Men: Apocalypse, Monster Trucks) in the title role made famous by Richard Dean Anderson. Check out the MacGyver trailer below!
Justin Hires will play Wilt Bozer (MacGyver’s roommate) and Tristin Mays will play Riley Davis (a computer hacker) in the new MacGyver series, while George Eads (“CSI”) is set to co-star in the pilot as Lincoln, a conspiracy theorist who works for the government.
Although he was originally aboard the series strictly as an executive producer, James Wan (Furious 7, The Conjuring) wound up directing the pilot episode when David Von Ancken’s original was scrapped.
Playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo has penned the script for the new MacGyver, which sees the show’s original executive producer Henry Winkler set to return as EP with Michael Clear. Co-creator/executive producer Peter Lenkov will serve as showrunner.
MacGyver will premiere on CBS on September 23.
