Hailing from executive producers Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter, HBO‘s new ten-episode Vinyl series has today debuted a teaser trailer. Set in 1970s New York, HBO’s Vinyl series offers a ride through the sex and drug addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop. The show is seen through the eyes of a record label president, Richie Finestra, (Cannavale), who is trying to save his company and his soul without destroying everyone in his path.

Other Vinyl series regulars include Ray Romano (“Everybody Loves Raymond, Ice Age), Ato Essandoh (Django Unchained, “Elementary”), Max Casella (Blue Jasmine, Inside Llewyn Davis), P.J. Byrne (The Wolf of Wall Street, Horrible Bosses), J.C. MacKenzie (The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street), Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (Automata, Pitch Perfect 2), Juno Temple (The Dark Knight Rises, The Brass Teapot), Jack Quaid (The Hunger Games, Just Before I Go), James Jagger (Stealing Summers, Mr. Nice) and Paul Ben-Victor (Don Jon, “Allegiance”).

Scorsese, Jagger and Winter executive produce alongside Rick Yorn, Victoria Pearman, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, John Melfi and Allen Coulter. Winter himself serves as showrunner.

ComingSoon.net recently sat down with Cannavale to talk about his recent performance opposite Rose Byrne and Nick Kroll in Adult Beginners. Among the topics discussed was “Vinyl” (then called “Rock ‘N’ Roll”) and you can check out the entire conversation right here.
