ABC has shared the official 9-1-1 mid-season 8 trailer for the upcoming two-part return of the popular procedural drama, which hails from Emmy-winning creator Ryan Murphy. Season 8 is scheduled to resume this Thursday, March 6 on ABC, and will also be available to stream on Hulu.
“9-1-1 explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders — including police officers, firefighters and dispatchers — who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations,” reads the logline. “These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives.”

The video highlights another explosive mid-season premiere for the long-running series, as one of their own gets abducted by a serial killer. The trailer features Jennifer Love Hewitt‘s Maddie, who suddenly becomes the next target of a serial killer. The team must act fast and outsmart the enemy before it’s too late.

9-1-1 centers around lives of first responders, police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. The series stars Angela Bassett as Athena, Peter Krause as Bobby, Oliver Stark as Buck, Aisha Hinds as Hen, Kenneth Choi as Chimney, Gavin McHugh as Christopher, Ryan Guzman as Eddie and more. The hit drama has been on-air since 2018. It currently has an overall average Tomatometer rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Ahead of the show’s mid-season premiere, ABC recently granted a straight-to-series order to its newest 9-1-1 spin-off titled 9-1-1: Nashville. Set to debut during the network’s 2025-2026 broadcast season, the project hails from one Star showrunner Rashad Raisani.
