What happens in the Adolescence trailer?

The video introduces Graham as Eddie Miller, a father whose teenage son gets accused of murdering a young girl from his school. It highlights the distressing aftermath of his arrest, as Graham’s character grapples with the reality that his son would possibly be capable of doing such an heinous act. The cast also includes Ashley Walters (Top Boy) as Bascombe, Erin Doherty (The Crown) as Briony Ariston, and newcomer Owen Cooper as Jamie Miller.

“The series tells the story of how a family’s world is turned upside down when 13-year-old Jamie Miller is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl who goes to his school. Graham takes on the role of Jamie’s father and ‘appropriate adult’, Eddie Miller, while Walters stars as Detective Inspector Luke Bascombe. Doherty joins the cast as Briony Ariston, the clinical psychologist assigned to Jamie’s case,” reads the logline.

Adolescence is directed by Philip Barantini from a screenplay written by Graham and Jack Thorne. Additional cast members include Faye Marsay as Misha Frank, Christine Tremarco as Manda Miller, Amelie Pease as Lisa Miller, Jo Hartley as Mrs. Fenumore, Mark Stanley as Paul Barlow, and Claudius Peters as Frank. The upcoming miniseries is executive produced by Graham, Barantini, Thorne, Dede Gardner, Brad Pitt, Carina Sposato, Nina Wolarsky, Emily Feller, Mark Herbert, Jeremy Kleiner, and Hannah Walters, with Jo Johnson set as a producer.
