Netflix has shared the official Mo Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of the acclaimed comedy series, which won a Peabody Award in 2022. The next installment will be available for streaming on January 30, 2025.

What happens in the Mo Season 2 trailer?

The video teases what’s next for Mo Najjar in Season 2 as he deals with the challenge of his family’s asylum hearing. The cast includes Mohammed “Mo” Amer, Teresa Ruiz, Farah Bsieso, Omar Elba, Tobe Nwigwe, Simon Rex, Johanna Braddy, and Kamel El Basha. Since making its debut, the series currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 33 reviews.

Mo is created and executive produced by Mohammed “Mo” Amer and Ramy Youssef, who also serve as direcots. Executive producers are Harris Danow, Solvan “Slick” Naim, Jacqui Rivera, and Azhar Usman. It is a production by A24.

“Mo Najjar straddles the line between two cultures, three languages and a ton of bullshit as a Palestinian on the path to U.S. citizenship,” reads the synopsis. “Season 2 finds Mo stranded across the border and desperate to get back to Houston before his family’s asylum hearing – but as a stateless refugee without a passport, he’s gonna need all the hustle and charm he can muster. Little does he know that the journey home is just the start of his troubles, and there’s a new guy in town ready to steal both his longtime love Maria and his dream of finally returning to Palestine.”
