One Piece Season 2 Video Highlights Eiichiro Oda’s Visit to Netflix Show’s Live-Action Set

Netflix has shared a brand new One Piece Season 2 video for the highly anticipated next installment of the popular live-action fantasy series. It features lead star Iñaki Godoy interviewing beloved mangaka Eiichiro Oda in Japanese for the first time since he started learning to speak the language earlier this year.

What happens in the new One Piece Season 2 video?

The video highlights Oda’s visit to the live-action set of Season 2 in Cape Town, South Africa, where he got the chance to meet the cast, see the big sets, and watch the scenes unfold for the first time. In his interview with Godoy, Oda shared how he was touched by the cast and crew’s dedication to bringing his masterpiece to life. He also opened up about the very challenging journey that the Straw Hats will have to face in Season 2.

One Piece Season 2 will once again be led by Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. It hails from writers and executive producers Steven Maeda (The X-Files) and Matt Owens (Agents of SHIELD), with Owens and Joe Tracz set as the showrunners for Season 2.

Season 2 will introduce Joe Manganiello as Crocodile/Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday/ Nico Robin, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday/ Princess Vivi, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Clive Russell as Crocus, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk. The next installment will also feature returning cast members Ilia Isorelys Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy, and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger.
