Landman Trailer Previews Billy Bob Thornton Oil Rig Drama From Yellowstone Creator

Paramount+ has released the official Landman trailer for the upcoming oil rig drama, which hails from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. The first two episodes will be available for streaming starting Sunday, November 17. Subsequent episodes will then be released weekly on Sundays.

“Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, the series is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs,” reads the logline. “Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”

What happens in the Landman trailer?

The trailer introduces Billy Bob Thornton as his character manages an oil rig site which gets caught in a huge explosion. It highlights the danger of working at oil rigs while owners of big oil companies continue to amass wealth and power.

Landman is created and executive produced by Sheridan and Christian Wallace. The ensemble cast also includes Ali Larter, Demi Moore, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, and Paulina Chávez, with Jon Hamm, Andy Garcia, and Michael Peña as guest stars. The series is executive produced by David Glasser, ​David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, Stephen Kay, Dan Friedkin, Jason Hoch, J.K.
