What is the synopsis provided with the Alien: Earth teaser trailer?

The synopsis for the series reads, “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley. FX’s Alien: Earth original series coming in 2025, only on Hulu.”

Along with Chandler, the show stars Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Timothy Olyphant, Kit Young, Adarsh Gourav, David Rysdahl, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Moe Bar-El, and more.

Alien: Earth will be set before the events of Alien; however, Hawley has previously said that the series won’t lean too much into Scott’s Prometheus and Alien: Covenant movies.

“Ridley and I have talked about this — and many, many elements of the show,” Hawley previously said during an interview with KCRW’s The Business, via The Hollywood Reporter. “For me, and for a lot of people, this ‘perfect life form’ — as it was described in the first film — is the product of millions of years of evolution that created this creature that may have existed for a million years out there in space. The idea that, on some level, it was a bioweapon created half an hour ago, that’s just inherently less useful to me.”

Alien: Earth will premiere in 2025.
