Peacock has released the first Teacup teaser trailer for its newest horror-thriller series, based on Robert McCammon’s New York Times bestselling novel. The project hails from The Conjuring Universe creator James Wan, who will serve as an executive producer.
“The story follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive,” reads the synopsis.

When is the Teacup release date?
Teacup will start streaming on Thursday, October 10 with the first two episodes. It will then be followed by two-episode weekly releases through Halloween. The 8-episode horror drama will be led by Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre, and Luciano Leroux.
Teacup is written and executive produced by showrunner Ian McCulloch, with The Haunting of Bly Manor’s E.L. Katz directing the first episode. In addition to portraying the role of Maggie Chenoweth, Strahovski has also signed on as a producer. It is executive produced by Katz, Wan, McCammon, Francisca X. Hu, Kevin Tancharoen, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett. It is a production by Atomic Monster and UCP.
