What happens in the Bridgerton Season 3 clip?

The four-minute-long Bridgerton Season 3 clip serves as the opening sequence for Season 3’s fifth episode, titled “Tick Tock.” It shows Colin eagerly bringing Penelope to his house in order to announce their engagement to his mother and siblings. Since they have been long-time neighbors, they instantly expressed their excitement by warmly welcoming Penelope to the family. Meanwhile, Colin’s sister and Penelope’s estranged best friend Eloise reacts to the news with disappointment, especially when she’s still struggling with the fact that Penelope betrayed her through her Lady Whistledown identity.

Based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novel series, Bridgerton is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and showrunner Jess Brownell. It stars Nicola Coughlan, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Jonathan Bailey, Claudia Jessie, Ruby Barker, Sabrina Bartlett, Ruth Gemmell, Adjoa Andoh, Polly Walker, Bessie Carter, Simone Ashley, and Harriet Cains, with Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown. Season 3 also features new cast members Daniel Francis as Marcus Anderson, Sam Phillips as Lord Debling, and James Phoon as Harry Dankworth.
