The first video clip from Star Wars: The Acolyte has been released.
In the video (via IGN), Jedi Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) faces off against Mae (Amandla Stenberg), a former Padawan and dangerous warrior from his past. The two engage in hand-to-hand combat during the nearly 80-second clip.

What to Expect in Star Wars: The Acolyte?
Besides Lee and Stenberg, the cast of Star Wars: The Acolyte includes Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Star Wars: The Acolyte is set during the High Republic, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The official synopsis reads: “An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master against a dangerous warrior from his past. As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”
Star Wars: The Acolyte is created by Leslye Headland, who also serves as a writer, director, and executive producer. Additional directors include Kogonada, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Hanelle Culpepper.
The Acolyte is the first Star Wars live-action television series since Ahsoka aired in the fall of 2023. Future Lucasfilm television projects include Skeleton Crew and Andor Season 2.
The first two episodes of Star Wars: The Acolyte premiere on June 4, 2024, on Disney+. The next six episodes will be released weekly.
