Hulu has released the trailer for The Killing Kind, an upcoming thriller series highlighting a barrister’s own experience of stalking after defending someone against stalking charges. This comes after streamer has picked up the show adapted from Jane Casey’s bestselling novel of the same name.
The Killing Kind was previously a Paramount+ original and has since joined a slew of shows pulled out from the streaming service, according to Deadline. Luckily, Hulu has decided to rescue the British original series. Now, set to arrive on the platform on May 14, the forthcoming thriller series will center on defense attorney Ingrid Lewis, who was able to defend her businessman client, John Webster, against charges related to stalking.
Ingrid served as John’s representative when the latter’s ex-girlfriend accused him of stalking. The two then embarked on an affair, which Ingrid ultimately decided to end. John, however, refuses to do so. Ingrid soon finds herself entangled in her own experience of stalking, perpetrated by the man she once successfully defended.
“The Killing Kind centers on a barrister, named Ingrid Lewis, who defends John Webster against stalking charges, only for Webster to turn on her,” the logline reads.
