Netflix has dropped the official Heartbreak High Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of the acclaimed Australian teen dramedy, teasing what’s next for Amerie and her friends. The next installment will start streaming on April 11.
“All our heroes are back for Term Two at the ‘lowest ranking school in the district,'” reads the official logline. “But fresh hotties, a new sports teacher and a mystery assailant, throw any hopes for a peaceful term into disarray, while the race for school captain is seeing dirty tactics run rife through Hartley High. Yep… It’s Term 2 bitches, and it’s more chaotic than ever.”

Heartbreak High stars Ayesha Madon as Amerie, Chloé Hayden as Quinni, Thomas Weatherall as Malakai, James Majoos as Darren, Asher Yasbincek as Harper, Will McDonald as Cash, Gemma Chua-Tran as Sasha, Bryn Chapman Parish as Spider, Sherry-Lee Watson as Missy, Brodie Townsend as Ant, and Josh Heuston as Dusty. The next installment will also introduce new cast members Sam Rechner as Rowan Callaghan, Kartanya Maynard as Zoe Clarke, Angus Sampson as Timothy Voss, Rachel House as Woodsy, and Chika Ikogwe as Jojo.
It is a Australian coming-of-age reboot of the 1994 series created and written by Hannah Caro Chapman, Ben Gannon, and Michael Jenkins. It is produced by Jenkins, Carly Heaton, Sarah Freeman, Brian Abel, and Megan Palinkas.
