Netflix has dropped the Supacell teaser trailer for its upcoming fantasy crime drama about five strangers who suddenly gained superpowers. The series is scheduled to make its debut in June 2024.
“The series follows a group of five ordinary people who unexpectedly develop superpower,” reads the official logline. “They have little in common except for one thing: they are all Black South Londoners. It is down to one man, Michael Lasaki, to bring them all together in order to save the woman he loves”

Who’s involved in Supacell?
Supacell is created and directed by Rapman (Blue Story), who also set as the showrunner. The series stars Tosin Cole (Till) as Michael, Nadine Mills (Sliced and The Weekend) as Sabrina, Eric Kofi Abrefa (BMF) as Andre, Calvin Demba (The Rig) as Rodney, Josh Tedeku (Moonhaven) as Tazer, Adelayo Adedayo (The Responder) as Dionne, Rayxia Ojo (Call The Midwife) as Sharleen and Giacomo Mancini (Top Boy) as Spud. It is produced by Mark Hedges, Sheila Nortley and Geraldine Hawkins, with Rapman, Anna Ferguson, Steve Searle, and Mouktar Mohammed executive producing.
