Legendary rock band Bon Jovi is the subject of a new documentary series, which will drop on Hulu on April 26. Titled Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, the four-part docuseries will revisit the band’s musical journey that spans over four decades.
The upcoming docuseries will feature the history of Bon Jovi through old personal photos and videos that will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s earlier years up to their rise to global fame. It will also provide a deep dive into the life of the band’s front man, Jon Bon Jovi, as well as interviews with the band’s past and present members.
Additionally, the docuseries — directed and executive produced by Gotham Chopra (Man in the Arena) — will feature the band’s unreleased demos and will discuss their wins, greatest hits, and even the band’s major setbacks.

When did Bon Jovi first rise to fame?
The band, which consisted of Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such, and drummer Tico Torres, was formed back in 1983. Together, the group released their first album, Bon Jovi, in 1984, featuring their first-ever debut single, “Runaway.”
Although “Runaway” managed to land on the charts, it wasn’t until 1986 that the band achieved widespread recognition and massive success with the release of their third album, Slippery When Wet. The album consisted of career-defining tracks, including “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
Over the band’s decade-long existence in the music industry, they went on to release a total of 15 studio albums and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2018. Some of the band’s greatest hits include “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Bad Medicine,” “It’s My Life,” “I’ll Be There For You,” “Bed Of Roses,” “Dry County,” “Keep the Faith,” and “Blaze of Glory.”
The band’s current members are Bon Jovi, Bryan, Torres, guitarist Phil X, and bassist Hugh McDonald. Original bassist John Such — who passed away in 2022 — left the band in 1994. Bon Jovi’s longtime guitarist Richie Sambora, on the other hand, left in 2013.
