When does The Program debut, and who directs it?

The Program debuts March 5 on Netflix.

Serving as a first-person account of the abuse that teens suffered while attending The Academy at Ivy Ridge in Ogdensburg, New York, the limited series is directed by Katherine Kubler. Kubler herself attended The Academy. She returns to it along with her former classmates, recalling the extreme circumstances they faced when their parents sent them to be disciplined.

Throughout the docuseries, the former students share their recollections and confess to feeling as though they were living in a cult. In the trailer, the interview subjects recount their experiences. One woman, for instance, recalled that she was kidnapped in the middle of the night and told she was no longer allowed to speak.
