Marvel Studios has finally released the official X-Men ’97 trailer for the long-awaited return of the iconic animated series.
The video confirms that the Disney+ revival will explore the aftermath of the original series finale, which saw Professor X saying goodbye to his X-Men. It also provides a glimpse of what to expect from the new episodes, including Magneto’s revelation that he has inherited everything that Charles had built. The 10-episode revival will start streaming on March 20.
“The revival revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future,” reads the synopsis.

Who’s involved in the X-Men ’97 revival?
X-Men ’97 will explore new stories in the iconic 90s timeline of the original series. It hails from head writer Beau DeMayo, along with directors Jake Castorena, Chase Conley, and Emi Yonemura. Featuring music by The Newton Brothers, the series is executive produced by Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and DeMayo.
It will feature voices of Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler. Other X-Men characters such as Cable, Emma Frost, Sinister, Madelyne Pryor/Goblin Queen, and more are expected to appear in the series.
