A new Mary & George trailer has been released by Starz, previewing the Julianne Moore-led historical fiction limited series that’s planned to debut on Friday, April 5 at midnight on the Starz app, and on Starz in Canada at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT in the United States and 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
“Prepared to stop at nothing and armed with her ruthless political steel, Mary married her way up the ranks, bribed politicians, colluded with criminals and clawed her way into the heart of the Establishment, making it her own,” the official synopsis reads. “Mary & George is an audacious historical psychodrama about a treacherous mother and son who schemed, seduced and killed to conquer the Court of England and the bed of its King.”

The miniseries stars Julianne Moore, Nicholas Galitzine, Nicola Walker, Niamh Algar, Trine Dyrholm, Sean Gilder, Adrian Rawlins, Mark O’Halloran, Laurie Davidson, Samuel Blenkin, Jacob McCarthy, Tom Victor, Alice Grant, Amelia Gething, Mirren Mack, Rina Mahoney, and Simon Russell Beale.
Who created Mary & George?
Mary & George is created and executive produced by D.C. Moore (Killing Eve) based on Benjamin Woolley’s 2017 non-fiction book, The King’s Assassin. Hera Pictures produces the series in association with Sky Studios. Moore, Lisa Marshall, Sam Hoyle, and Oliver Hermanus are executive producers, with Hermanus also serving as the lead director.
