Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming animated series Exploding Kittens, a series based on the hit card game of the same name.
The trailer previews the role of Tom Ellis as Godcat, a cat that has helped form the world and is now enjoying himself in it. Alongside Ellis, the series will also star David Gborie, Lucy Liu, Mark Proksch, Ally Maki, and Sasheer Zamata in various roles.

What is Exploding Kittens about?
The series is based on the hit card game of the same name, and will tell the story of “the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell reaches epic proportions when both God and the Devil are sent to Earth – in the bodies of chunky house cats,” reads the synopsis.
The Exploding Kittens series will feature the voices of Lucifer star Tom Ellis as God Cat and Sasheer Zamata (Home Economics) as Devil Cat, and Mark Proksch (What We Do In The Shadow). Joining them are Abraham Lim (The Boys) and Ally Maki (Toy Story 4) who will be voicing a pair of siblings, with Lucy Liu (Elementary) playing their mom.
It is executive produced by showrunners Shane Kosakowski and Matthew Inman along with the creators of the card game franchise, Elan Lee and The Oatmeal’s Inman. Executive producers are Mike Judge, Greg Daniels, and Dustin Davis of Bandera Entertainment along with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping for the Chernin Entertainment Group.
