Netflix has finally released the first Sweet Home Season 2 teaser trailer for the long-awaited return of its South Korean post-apocalyptic monster series. The next installment is currently slated to premiere on December 1, three years after the action drama made its debut.
The video provides fans a first look at Song Kang’s Cha Hyun-soo, a young man who became a human-monster hybrid after South Korea gets overrun by a mysterious infection that transforms people into different kinds of mindless monsters with powers. Last season ended with a cliffhanger involving the remaining survivors of apartment complex Green Home, as they get saved by the military.

What is Sweet Home?
Sweet Home is based on the popular webtoon of the same name written by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan. The series currently stars Song Kang, Lee Jin-wuk, Lee Si-young, Ko Min-si, Jung Jin-young, Yoo Oh-seong, Oh Jung-se, Kim Moo-yeol, and Park Gyu-young. It is directed by Lee Eung-bok and Park So-hyeon. It hails from Studio Dragon and Studio N.
“Season 1 centered around a reclusive high school student who moved into a new apartment building,” reads the synopsis. “In the face of a crisis where individuals turned into monsters reflecting their innermost desires, Hyun-su broke out of his shell to save others. [Meanwhile] in Season 2,Green Home survivors and Hyun-su are each fighting to survive in new places, while other beings and mysterious phenomena emerge.”
