Netflix has released a full Squid Game: The Challenge trailer for the streaming platform‘s reality competition series based on the critically acclaimed drama Squid Game. The series is set to debut on Netflix on Wednesday, November 22.
The trailer gives viewers a peek at the different competitive challenges that the contestants will have to conquer while also previewing the interpersonal drama that will arise as alliances form and betrayals take place.
“456 real players will enter the competition show in pursuit of a life-changing reward of USD $4.56 million,” reads the series’ official synopsis. “As they compete through a series of games inspired by the original show – plus surprising new additions – their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated around them.”

How many episodes will Squid Game: The Challenge have?
Squid Game: The Challenge will be composed of 10 episodes. The production companies behind the show are Studio Lambert and The Garden.
Due to its critical and commercial success, the original series has earned three Golden Globe nominations, including South Korean veteran actor O Yeong-su winning Best Supporting Actor in a Series for his portrayal of Oh Il-nam/Player 001. It also made history by becoming the first non-English show to receive four major SAG nominations, with Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon winning Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor.
