HBO has released an official The Regime teaser trailer for the upcoming Kate Winslet-led limited series. Set to debut in 2024, the series was formerly known by its working title, The Palace.
“The Regime tells the story of one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel,” reads the series’ logline.
Alongside previously announced cast members Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, and Hugh Grant, HBO has revealed that Danny Webb, David Bamber, Henry Goodman, Stanley Townsend, Louie Mynett, Rory Keenan, Karl Markovics, and Pippa Haywood have joined the series.

The limited series is being directed by Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs. Executive producers are Succession producers Will Tracy and Frank Rich, Winslet, and Tracey Seaward, with Will Tracy also serving as the showrunner and writer and Hobbs co-executive producing. The writing team will include Seth Reiss, Juli Weiner, Jen Spyra, Gary Shteyngart, and Sarah DeLappe.
For her leading performance as Mare Sheehan in Mare of Easttown, Winslet won Emmy and Golden Globe awards, both for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie. She also recently starred in James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel Avatar: The Way of Water.
