Peacock has released an official trailer for Queer as Folk, its forthcoming reimagining of the classic British series, which will feature Juliette Lewis and Kim Cattrall and will be making its debut on June 9. The video provides us with our first look at the main cast as they go through a devastating tragedy that will either make them stronger or control their lives.

Queer as Folk will be led by Devin Way (he/him) as Brodie (he/him), Fin Argus (they/them) as Mingus (he/him/they/them), Jesse James Keitel (she/her) as Ruthie (she/her), CG (they/them) as Shar (they/them), Johnny Sibilly (he/him) as Noah (he/him), and Ryan O’Connell (he/him) as Julian (he/him).
“The series is a vibrant reimagining of the groundbreaking British series created by Russell T. Davies, exploring a diverse group of friends in New Orleans whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy,” reads the synopsis.

Queer as Folk is written, executive produced, and created by Stephen Dunn, with O’Connell and Jaclyn Moore also set as writers and executive producers. It is executive produced by Brian Dannelly, Lee Eisenberg, Emily Brecht, original British series creator Russell T. Davies, Nicola Shindler, and Louise Pedersen. The series is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
