Netflix has announced the release date for the upcoming fifth season of the hit Spanish teen drama Elite, starring Itzan Escamilla, Omar Ayuso, Claudia Salas, Manu Rios, and more. It is scheduled to make its return on Friday, April 8.
The announcement also comes with the release of a stylish teaser for Elite Season 5, which you can check out below, featuring the main cast dancing as it gives us a glimpse of some of the pairings we should expect in the new installment.

Elite centers around Las Encinas, the most exclusive school in the country, where the elite sends their children to study. It is created by Carlos Montero (The Mess You Leave Behind) and Jaime Vaca (Cable Girls). The series currently stars Itzan Escamilla, Omar Ayuso, Martina Cariddi, Georgina Amoros, Claudia Salas, Manu Rios, Pol Granch, Diego Martin, Valentina Zenere, and more.
Ahead of its return, the series has already secured an early sixth season renewal and will be welcoming the additions of new characters, who will once again test the friendship of the seniors, including Ander Puig, Carmen Arrufat, Ana Bokesa, and Alex Pastrana.

Elite is directed by Lino Escalera (High Seas), Kike Maíllo (Alma) and Elena Trapé (The Distances). The series hails from ZETA Studios.
Seasons 1-4 are available for streaming on Netflix.
