Finding Magic Mike Trailer Teases a Competition That Bares It All

HBO Max has revealed the full Finding Magic Mike trailer for the upcoming unscripted competition series, based on Warner Bros. Pictures’ Channing Tatum-led film franchise. The 7-episode series is slated to make its debut on Thursday, December 16.

The video, which you can check out below, highlights the not-so-easy challenges that ten contestants must face as they transformed themselves into real-life Magic Mikes in hopes of regaining their lost confidence and rediscovering their masculinity.

Finding Magic Mike is inspired by Warner Bros. Pictures’ Magic Mike films which were led by Channing Tatum and were also based on his early days as a stripper before becoming a blockbuster star.

“Ten regular guys who have ‘lost their magic’ are put through the paces of a Magic Mike Live bootcamp, baring their souls – and more – as they learn to perform sexy and daring dance routines with one being crowned the real Magic Mike. The winner will pocket a cash prize,” reads the synopsis.

The show will feature Adam Rodriguez, Alison Faulk, Vincent Marini, and Luke Broadlick along with guest judges including Whitney Cummings, Nikki Glaser, Nicole Scherzinger, Amanda Seales, and Robin Thede.

Finding Magic Mike is executive produced by Tatum, Steven Soderbergh, Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, Gregory Jacobs, Nick Wechsler, Vincent Marini, Alycia Rossiter, Cassie Lambert Scalettar, Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, David Tibballs, Adam Rodriguez, Anita Brown, Kevin Boyer, and Jenny Chan.

Following the sequel’s release, executive producers including Tatum have partnered with producer Vincent Marini to introduce audiences to the groundbreaking entertainment experience Magic Mike Live. The live show has expanded internationally since its Vegas launch and has played to sold-out audiences in London, Berlin, and Australia.
