Apple TV+ has released the official Dr. Brain trailer for their first original South Korean series, based on Hongjacga’s popular webtoon of the same name. Starring Parasite‘s Lee Sun-Kyun, the thriller drama is scheduled to make its debut on November 4.
The Dr. Brain trailer features a scientist as he tries to invent a device that would access the memories of dead people in hopes of finding the truth behind his family’s death.

Dr. Brain is written and directed by Kim Jee-Woon, who is best known for his works on psychological horror films such as A Tale of Two Sisters and I Saw the Devil. The series will be led by Lee Sun-Kyun, who previously starred in Bong Joon-Ho’s Oscar-winning 2019 film Parasite. Joining him are Park Hee-Soon, Seo Ji-Hye, Lee Yoo-Young, Lee Jae-Won, and more.
“It follows the brilliant brain scientist Sewon who suffers a horrific personal tragedy when his family falls victim to a mysterious accident,” reads the synopsis. “Desperate to uncover what happened, he goes to extraordinary lengths to solve the tragic mystery by conducting “brain syncs” with the dead to access their memories for clues.”

The six-episode drama is a production by Bound Entertainment, Kakao Entertainment, StudioPlex, and Dark Circle Pictures. Executive producers are Kim Jee-Won, Ha Yeon-Ju, Jamie Yuan Lai, Lee Hyung-Wook, Lee Jin-Su, Hong Min-Yeong, Ham Jeong-Yeop, and Han Kwang-Ho, with Kim Jin-Ah, Ko Young-Jae, and Lee Mu-So also serving as writers.
