Olaf Presents Trailer: Fan-Favorite Snowman to Recap Disney Classics in New Disney+ Shorts

Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney+ have announced the upcoming launch of a brand new series of animated shorts titled Olaf Presents, which is slated to premiere on November 12, as part of the global celebration of Disney+ Day. The series will once again feature the return of Frozen‘s fan-favorite lovable snowman as he gets to recap five Disney+ classics in his own quirky way by recreating memorable moments from the selected animated films.

The announcement also comes with the release of its official trailer and poster which you can check out below, providing us with our first look at the fun animated shorts that will highlight Olaf’s unique storytelling technique.

Olaf Presents will once again see the return of Frozen alum Josh Gad as he reprises his role as the titular snowman. In the new Disney+ shorts, Olaf is expected to bring to life the stories of The Little Mermaid, Moana, The Lion King, Aladdin, and Tangled.

“Olaf steps into the spotlight and goes from snowman to showman as he takes on the roles of producer, actor, costumer and set builder for his unique “retelling” of five favorite Disney animated tales in Olaf Presents, a series of new animated shorts from Walt Disney Animation Studios,” reads the synopsis. “The charismatic and versatile Olaf demonstrates his theatrical flair, taking on such iconic roles as a mermaid, a genie, a lion king (and most of the parts in between), as he entertains Arendelle with his delightful abbreviated versions of these beloved tales.”

Olaf Presents is directed by veteran Disney animator Hyrum Osmond, who previously helmed Frozen’s short digital spinoff series At Home With Olaf. The series is produced by Jennifer Newfield.

The Frozen films have a combined worldwide gross of over two billion, which made the 2019 sequel, the second highest-grossing film of all time. Both films were well-received and had both earned acclaim with the first one winning an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
