Love Life Season 2 Trailer: William Jackson Harper Wants Something Real

HBO Max has released the full trailer for the upcoming second season of the romantic dramedy anthology series Love Life, which will now be led by The Good Place alum William Jackson Harper. He will be succeeding Anna Kendrick from the first season, who is still attached as an executive producer and is expected to appear in the new season. The series is currently slated to make its return on October 28 with the first three episodes. The 10-episode season continues with three episodes on November 4 and concludes with four episodes on November 11.

The Love Life Season 2 trailer, which you can check out below, introduces Harper’s Marcus Watkins as a newly single man who just had his divorce. It highlights his reentry into the complicated world of dating in hopes to being able to find love again.

Love Life is HBO Max’s first full-length scripted series about the journey from first love to last love, and how the people we’re with along the way make us into who we are when we finally end up with someone forever. The series will follow a different protagonist’s quest for love each season, with each half-hour episode telling the story of one of their relationships.

“Season 2 focuses on Marcus Watkins as he comes out of a years-long relationship with the woman he thought was going to be his person,” reads the synopsis. “After the rug is pulled out from under him, he is plunged back into the search for the romantic fulfillment that he thought he had already found.”

Season 2 will be led by Emmy nominee William Jackson Harper, and will be narrated by Keith David. Joining them are Jessica Williams, Punkie Johnson, Chris “Comedian CP” Powell, Arian Moayed, Leslie Bibb, John Earl Jelks, Maya Kazan, Ego Nwodim, Kimberly Elise, Blair Underwood, Janet Hubert, Jordan Rock and Steven Boyer. The some of the first season’s cast including Anna Kendrick, Zoë Chao, Peter Vack, Sasha Compére and Nick Thune will also make get to appear in the new installment.

Love Life is created and executive produced by Sam Boyd, who is also serving as a showrunner along with Bridget Bedard, and Rachelle Williams. Executive producers are Bedard, Williams, Kendrick, Harper, Paul Feig, and Dan Magnante. It is a co-production between Lionsgate TV and Feigco Entertainment.
