Marvel Studios has released the clip and teaser for Disney+’s What If…? series’ upcoming fifth episode, titled “What If…Zombies,” featuring the voice of Mark Ruffalo as he reprises his role as Bruce Banner. The series is scheduled to return tomorrow, September 8.
The What If…? Episode 5 clip, which you can check out below along with the teaser and posters, teases another reality of Avengers: Infinity War, where Bruce Banner winds up escaping into a very different Earth. In the video, he soon discovers that Iron Man isn’t what he used to be. The teaser also gives us a glimpse of zombified versions of other Avengers including Doctor Strange, Hawkeye, and Captain America.

What If…? hails from head writer AC Bradley and director Bryan Andrew. The first season is expected to only cover the events from the movies of the Infinity Saga. The animated series will feature the introduction of The Watcher, who serves as the narrator throughout the first season. The character is being voiced by Jeffrey Wright.
The series will also feature the voices of MCU vets who reprise their roles including Hayley Atwell, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael B. Jordan, Sebastian Stan, Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Natalie Portman, Paul Rudd, Tilda Swinton, Taika Waititi, Danai Gurira, Paul Bettany, Rachel McAdams and more.

The first four episodes of What If…? titled “What If… Captain Carter Was the First Avenger,” “What If… T’Challa Became a Star-Lord,” “What If…the World Lost its Mightiest Heroes,” and “What If… Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands,” are now available for streaming.
