AMC has revealed a brand new teaser for the upcoming The Walking Dead Season 11, as part of the network’s “11 Weeks of Reveals until Season 11,” which aims to keep fans ready for the new season.

The teaser doesn’t show too much regarding the new season but does feature many of the characters that fans have come to know and love. Everyone from Rick, Carol, and Daryl is shown off, as well as many new characters, including the highly anticipated Mercer, who Michael James Shaw plays.

The 11th season of The Walking Dead will mark the beginning of the end for the long-running and incredibly popular television series. The final season will be feature 24 episodes split into two parts, with the first half premiering on AMC on August 22, 2021. The series currently stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Cailey Fleming, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It also features Nadia Hilker, Lauren Ridloff, Cooper Andrews, Callan McAuliffe, Eleanor Matsuura, and Cassady McClincy. Season 11 will also introduce new cast members Margot Bingham as Stephanie and Shaw as Mercer.

Based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard’s comic series of the same name, The Walking Dead is executive produced by Kirkman, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, Joseph Incaprera, Gale Anne Hurd, Denise Huth, and Angela Kang, who is returning as the showrunner for the final installment.
