Rick and Morty Season 5 Trailer Teases More Crazy Family Adventures

Adult Swim has released a brand new Rick and Morty Season 5 trailer for the highly-anticipated return of Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon’s hit adult-animated series. The video provides us a better preview of what crazy and weird adventures we should expect in the new season while also teasing more dangerous missions involving Summer, Beth and Jerry. The sci-fi comedy series is scheduled to make its return on Sunday, June 20. Check out the video in the player below!

Rick and Morty is a half-hour animated series that follows a sociopathic genius scientist, Rick, who drags his inherently timid grandson Morty on insanely dangerous adventures across the multiverse. The titular duo is both voiced by co-creator Justin Roiland (Solar Opposites) while the rest of the Smith family, including Beth, Jerry and Summer, are voiced by Sarah Chalke (Firefly Lane), Chris Parnell, and Spencer Grammer (Tell Me A Story), respectively.

Season 4 featured many big guest stars, including Sam Neill (Jurassic Park), Kathleen Turner (Romancing the Stone), Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Pamela Adlon (Better Things), Justin Theroux (The Leftovers), Christopher Meloni (Happy), Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise), Paul Giamatti (Billions), Matthew Broderick (Election) and Elon Musk.

The award-winning half-hour animated series is co-created and executive produced by Roiland and Dan Harmon (Community), with Mike McMahan also serving as an executive producer. Before the fourth season premiered in 2019, Rick and Morty has already secured its long-term run as the network ordered 70 new episodes for the series that will be spread over an undetermined number of seasons.
