After discovering human remains of flesh and bone clogging the drains nearby 23 Cranley Gardens, Nilsen was finally arrested and convicted at the Old Bailey of six counts of murder and two of attempted then sentenced to life imprisonment and had passed away in prison at the age of 72 in May 2018.
Des will be told from the point of view of the police and Brian Masters. It will explore the personal and professional consequences of coming into contact with a man like Nilsen. Joining Tennant are Daniel Mays (Line of Duty) as Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay and Jason Watkins (The Crown) as Masters.
