Little Voice is a love letter to the diverse musicality of New York. It follows the story of Bess King, a uniquely talented performer struggling to fulfill her dreams while navigating rejection, love, and complicated family issues. Featuring original music by Grammy and Tony Award nominee, Sara Bareilles, this is a story about finding your authentic voice – and the courage to use it.

The series stars Brittany O’Grady (Black Christmas), Sean Teale (The Gifted), Colton Ryan (Homeland), Shalini Bathina (underGRAD), Kevin Valdez, Phillip Johnson Richardson (Haunt) and Chuck Cooper.

The 10-episode series is executive produced by Grammy and Emmy nominee Sara Bareilles along with Jessie Nelson (Waitress, I Am Sam, Stepmom) who will be serving as the writer and showrunner. Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson are also set as executive producers. Little Voice is a co-production by Warner Bros. TV and Bad Robot Productions.

Bareilles’ hit 2007 song “Love Song” reached No. 1 in 22 countries and landed her Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance Grammy nominations from her major-label debut album, Little Voice. The singer is arguably best known for her hit single “Brave,” which earned Bareilles two Grammy nominations. The singer reunites with Nelson as the duo teamed up on Bareilles’ Broadway debut, Waitress, based on the 2007 movie. Bareilles wrote the music and lyrics while Nelson wrote the book for the musical, which earned four Tony nominations in 2016.

Little Voice is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on July 10.
