History Channel has released the official trailer for the sixth and final season of their hit drama series Vikings, offering us a preview of the Vikings’ incoming epic battle against Russia. The series returns with a two-hour sixth season premiere on Wednesday, December 4. Check out the video below!
The 20-episode final season will be divided into two parts with the remaining ten episodes expected to premiere sometime next year. Series regular Katheryn Winnick, who portrays the role of Lagertha, will be making her directorial debut in one of season six’s episodes.

In Season 6, After years of turmoil and tragedy, the series reaches its biggest climax yet with the Vikings traveling to never-before-seen locations thousands of miles from Kattegat, meeting vicious rivals worthy of their strategic combat and finally facing the consequences of Ragnar’s death. The Seer’s visions come to fruition as the final season answers important life-altering questions while making it clear, the war is far from over.
