Facebook Watch has released the official trailer (via Entertainment Weekly) for their upcoming adult animated comedy series titled Human Discoveries starring Zac Efron (The Lorax) and Anna Kendrick (Trolls), who will lend their voices to the characters of Gary and Jane, respectively. The series is scheduled to make its debut on Tuesday, July 16, exclusively on Facebook Watch. Check out the video in the player below!
Set 10,000 years in the past, Human Discoveries features a group of friends living at the dawn of human civilization. Of course, they’re the first to discover necessities like fire and the wheel. But, much more importantly, we’ll watch as they stumble onto humanity’s best, and worst, developments, including art, alcohol, fashion, racism, small talk and, much to their confusion, monogamy.

The two will be joined by Lamorne Morris (New Girl) as Trog, Jillian Bell (Rough Night) as Minerva, Paul Scheer (Fresh Off the Boat), Lisa Kudrow (Friends, The Comeback), Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Ed Begley, Sam Richardson and James Adomian.
Behind the camera, Human Discoveries comes from Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee with ShadowMachine founders Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley (BoJack Horseman, Final Space, Pinocchio) and Ninja’s Runnin’ Wild co-producing. Both Efron and Kendrick will also serve as executive producers, as will Bruno, Lee, Campodonico, Bulkley, Kirk J. Rudell, Jason Barrett and Mike Simkin.
