Get ready for more of the wildest true stories from life on the road as Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus is back for an all-new season Cinemax. You can check out the trailer in the post below!
While the show’s first season spotlighted some of the biggest names in country music, the new season focuses on some of funk music’s all-time greats, including George Clinton, Rick James, James Brown and Bootsy Collins. In addition to appearing in season two, Clinton, a founding member of Parliament-Funkadelic, serves as consulting producer. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will also be providing original music for the series.
The animated series is co-created, narrated, and produced by Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, Office Space, Idiocracy), who worked as a touring musician before his career in TV and film. To keep with the spirit, Tales from the Tour Bus recounts the actual raucous adventures of the musicians, as told by those who knew them best.
Judge’s other series, HBO’s Silicon Valley, was also renewed for a sixth season on HBO shortly after it’s season five premiere.
Tales from the Tour Bus returns to Cinemax on Friday, November 2.
