According to Deadline, Fox has revealed new details on the new Seann William Scott character for the upcoming third season of its hit adaptation of the action franchise Lethal Weapon. Scott (American Pie) was cast to replace Clayne Crawford following his firing due to on-set issues with cast and crew members.
Scott will be portraying Wesley Cole, a war veteran and father who moves to Los Angeles to be closer to his child. Cole’s ex-girlfriend Natalie Flynn will be played by Psych vet Maggie Lawson. Flynn is an emergency room surgeon who met Cole in a war zone years prior to the start of the season, only for Cole to land in her ER once again. Cole will be partnering with Damon Wayans’ senior detective Roger Murtaugh, although how their partnership begins has yet to be announced.
Combining action, drama and humor, Lethal Weapon is based on the hit movie franchise. The series stars Damon Wayans, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Jordana Brewster, Johnathan Fernandez, Dante Brown, Chandler Kinney and Michelle Mitchenor.
