Just over a month after debuting a short teaser for the series at the ATX Television Festival, Hulu has released a slew of new images for its upcoming sci-fi drama The First, which can be viewed in the gallery below!
Set in the near future, The First will follow the first human mission to Mars exploring the challenges of taking the first steps toward interplanetary colonization. The story focuses not only on the astronauts, but also on their families and loved ones, as well as the ground team on Earth.
The First has a straight-to-series order from Hulu and Channel 4. The series features Sean Penn (Gangster Squad) in his small screen series regular debut, alongside Natascha McElhone (Designated Survivor), Oded Fehr (The Mummy), James Ransome (Sinister), LisaGay Hamilton (Chance) and Hanna Ware (Hitman: Agent 47), with Beau Willimon (House of Cards) acting as the creator for the series.
The First is set to premiere Friday, September 14 only on Hulu.
