TV Line is reporting that Rutger Hauer (Batman Begins, Blade Runner) is joining the cast of HBO’s “True Blood” for season six.
According to the site, “Hauer will play Macklyn, a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.”
The 68-year-old Dutch actor has had his fair share of vampire experience playing Lothos in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Barlow in Salem’s Lot, Dracula in Dracula III: Legacy and Van Helsing in Dario Argento’s forthcoming Dracula 3D.
The sixth season of “True Blood” will premiere in June of 2013.
