Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his team are back in theaters on August 17th in The Expendables 2, scripted by Stallone and this time directed by Simon West. Now, Deadline reports that the future of the action franchise could be looking to the small screen.
The Expendables is one of several properties that the site reports as being eyed for a television series spinoff by Lionsgate. Other potential titles include RED, itself getting a sequel on August 2, 2013 with RED 2 and Step Up, the fourth entry of which bows on July 27th with Step Up Revolution.
At this time, there is no firm confirmation that any of these series will happen, but the notion is certainly on the table at the studio end. Check back for updates as they become available.
