The CW’s upcoming “Sex and the City” spinoff, “The Carrie Diaries,” has landed its lead. Variety reports that AnnaSophia Robb (Bridge to Terabithia, Race to Witch Mountain) will play the young Carrie Bradshaw.
Based on the prequel book series by Candace Bushnell, “The Carrie Diaries” tells of Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker’s character from “Sex and the City”) coming of age in 1980’s Manhattan.
Amy Harris drafted the pilot and will executive produce with Bushnell, Len Goldstein, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz.
